With this project, we wanted to focus on the amazing thing it is to identify as a woman. So often feminism is about the oppression and isolation of women so we really wanted to celebrate being women and the collaboration side of feminism by working together on this project. We chose to capture pictures of happiness, of the serenity and joy we feel to be at home in our femininity. We combined these images with quotes that speak to us and that highlight the struggle it has been to be a woman in this world throughout history, and still is for many of us today. So as much as this project is a celebration of womanhood it is also a reminder that the struggle for equality is not over.
